The Center for Media Engagement welcomes Dr. Katherine (Katya) Ognyanova for a discussion that explores the relationship between trust in science, digital platform use, social ties, and maintaining false beliefs about politics and health. Drawing on a mix of self-reported, network, and digital trace data, we will discuss how social groups evolve accurate knowledge over time and reduce their misperceptions.
