About Michael Jones

Michael Calvin Jones is the Executive Vice President, Digital Entertainment & IP at THE·TEAM, where he operates as the management executive for one of the fastest-growing digital talent and creator businesses in the industry. Over the past decade, he has built a reputation as an operator and strategist at the intersection of creators, IP, digital media, entertainment, and culture.

In 2019, Jones founded J1S, growing the business into a leading force in digital talent
representation before its acquisition by THE·TEAM in 2023. Since then, he has played a key role in scaling the broader creators division into a rapidly expanding business representing influential digital talent while helping shape its growth across representation, partnerships, ventures, and intellectual property.

Jones is known for his perspective on where the creator economy is headed, particularly how creators are evolving from talent into IP owners, brand builders, and modern entertainment businesses.

Jones studied business at the University of Southern Mississippi, where he was a wide receiver on the Golden Eagles football team. He is also involved in philanthropic efforts supporting animal welfare, anti-human trafficking initiatives, and amblyopia research. He lives in Dallas with his wife, Hannah, and their two sons, Sage and Silas.
