CATE Summer Design Series: Designing Assessment as Learning for Student Growth

July 11 @ 10:00 am to 12:00 pm CDT
CATE Summer Design Series

CATE's Summer Design Series is an opportunity to join your Moody College faculty community to upskill your design approaches this summer. This session will focus on the pedagogical design moves to plan for strategic feedback loops as assessment practice and opportunities for students to improve their knowledge and skills. Participants will be coached to identify effective placement of 2 or 3 formative assessment opportunities within the course schedule to facilitate instructor and peer feedback. For each formative feedback cycle, faculty will design for student goal setting and opportunity to demonstrate refined knowledge and skills before summative assessments. Participants will be coached to leverage rubrics to front-load clear expectations and speed up the scoring process with accurate feedback. For more details and to RSVP, click here. The CATE team will send calendar updates with logistics based on your RSVP choices.
